How do I make my keyboard work with the window?

The arrow keys on my keyboard are not working when I play flash games. They work just fine the rest of the time (like when I click on the white space of this window, I can use them to move the scroll bars), but when I try to play flash games, even when I click on them, the arrow keys won't respond to the game. How do I fix this?
