Why does (R)3-methyl-2-hexanone give a racemic mixture but (R)3-methyl-3-ethyl-2-hexanone does not?
Why does (R)3-methyl-2-hexanone give a racemic mixture when exposed to aqueous acid but (R)3-methyl-3-ethyl-2-hexanone remains optically pure?
