My flash and program games wont respond to key controls?

I have been stuck with some glitch or error or something that whenever I play a flash or Program game any letter key I hit will just be a # 0-9 in order every time I hit a letter. I have checked if it is a virus (I kinda knew it was but I don't know what the problem is) and I don't think its the keyboard because it works perfectly when I am using it normally right now (even in games when I am in chat mode) How can I fix this?
