IPad 2 or MacBook pro?

Hey everybody but let me be clear please answer the question above don't talk about anything like get a pc or don't waste your money please just answer the question. Got my first summer job I'm going to save a good amount of money but I want to buy one of These items as a reward for myself since this would be the first item I bought with my own money. I want the iPad 2 cause all the features and bigger screen and it so much fun to play with event though I have the current iPod touch and I want the MacBook pro cause my pc died in 1 and half year and cost just as much a MacBook but I hear the MacBook pro last long plus I type in the dark so that backlit keyboard is a must plus I love messing with it software. So if anyone could give me their opinion on this that would be greatly appreciated.
