Should I switch to blackberry?

I just dropped my HTC Incredible touch screen phone. I am a very clumsy person and I never seem to have luck with touch screen phones. I was thinking of possibly getting the Blackberry Bold. I like that it has a built in keyboard and that the device is very secure. I see in the news that RIM stock is going down and that people are starting to criticize the company. I am going to be a college freshman next year so I don't need the phone for business reasons, but is the blackberry bold a decent consumer phone? (Also, I already have a data plan so I know about the price).
